Grooming Your Dog or Cat

Regular grooming should be part of every dog and cat’s healthcare routine. We aim to make grooming a fun and enjoyable experience that your pet will love. A full groom consists of brushing and clipping, bath and blow dry, nail clipping, ear cleaning and plucking (if necessary).

Carn Vet Clinic Grooming Service

Our grooming service is carried out by our registered veterinary nurse. The nurse also gives your pet a health check and empties the anal glands where needed.

We groom dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes and ages. Some breeds such as Collies, Husky’s and German Shepard’s need regular brushing and de-shedding. This helps to help ventilate their coat.

Breeds such a Bichon’s, Shih Tzu’s and King Charles need clipping to maintain a healthy coat and prevent matting. All breeds benefit from grooming as it helps maintain physical health as well as their appearance.

We know some animals find being groomed stressful. We can accommodate these pets with mild sedation so that being groomed is a stress-free experience for your pet.

 Carn Vet Grooming Health Check

The Grooming Health Check includes a close inspection of your pet’s heart, lungs, ears, eyes, teeth and body condition. Our veterinary nurse will also check your pet’s skin and coat condition and look for fleas, mites or ticks.
