Cat and Kitten Neutering
Both male and female cats should be neutered to help reduce overpopulation and for health reasons. Non-neutered cats of both genders will mix with other cats in the breeding season and get into fights. This creates the risk of your cat catching life limiting diseases, like FIV.
From the age of 6 months on, sometimes even earlier, male and female cats can be neutered at the Vet Clinic. This is done as a day surgery with the animals brought in the morning and going home in the evening. Usually, they are back in normal form the next day.
You may have feral cats around your property. If so, we can provide a trap cage to help you get the population under control by neutering.
